Walter Hudson, a Minnesota state representative, posted a series of tweets on October 7, 2025, criticizing Minnesota Democrats and highlighting school safety initiatives. In his first post, Hudson questioned the approach of state leaders regarding student protection. He wrote, "While Tim Walz and Minnesota Democrats read off their tragedy scripts, we're providing solutions. Check out @3dResponse, deployed in Lakeville Schools, ready to protect our kids statewide. Why are we wasting time with tired political narratives and fake 'special session' talk?" (October 7, 2025).

Later that day, Hudson commented on political endorsements within the Democratic Party. He stated, "Wow. Thank you to the one... ONE ... legislative Democrat candidate who has withdrawn her endorsement of Jay Jones. To the rest, including the entire Democrat establishment leadership... what's wrong with you?" (October 7, 2025).

In a third tweet posted minutes later, Hudson criticized a national gun control advocacy group for its financial support of a Virginia attorney general nominee. He said, "The supposed gun control group @Everytown has not rescinded their $200,000 contribution to the VA Democrat AG nominee after he was exposed persistently harassing a Republican colleague with the expressed desire to shoot Republicans. Vile hypocrites." (October 7, 2025).

Hudson is a Republican member of the Minnesota House of Representatives known for his outspoken views on education policy and public safety issues in the state.
