Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, addressed recent national events and expressed support for law enforcement in a series of posts on his social media account.

On September 25, 2025, Emmer commented on a violent incident at a federal facility in Texas: "I am devastated by yesterday’s tragic shooting at the Dallas ICE facility, where one life was lost and two others were wounded by a gunman driven by anti-ICE hate. ICE officers face a 1000% surge in assaults—it’s time to reject toxic rhetoric and stand with our heroes."

Later that day, he reacted to legal developments involving a former FBI director: "FINALLY—James Comey has been indicted for lying to congress and obstruction of justice. This deep state hack peddled the Russia hoax to sabotage Trump, posted “8647” as a sick death threat against him, and leaked classified memos to spark the sham Mueller probe! It about"

On September 26, 2025, Emmer highlighted his ongoing support for police officers: "We’re PROUD to Back The Blue and thankful for the sacrifice and service of our law enforcement officers. Great seeing Chief Brandon Silgjord in Sartell today!"

Emmer has served as Minnesota's representative in Congress since succeeding Michele Bachmann in 2015. He previously held office in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961, Emmer is currently 62 years old and resides in Delano. He holds degrees from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (BA) and William Mitchell College of Law (JD).
