Eric Lucero, a Minnesota state senator and former member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, made several posts on September 26, 2025, addressing political and policy issues on his social media account.

In a post directed at Vice President Kamala Harris, Lucero wrote: "Hey @KamalaHarris, Minnesotans moan with you for the disaster, fraud, and hardship @Tim_Walz has inflicted on our state." (September 26, 2025).

Later that day, Lucero expressed concerns about national identification systems in the United States. He stated: "Today = database of people entitled to work

Coming Soon = social credit score database of people entitled to receive rationed healthcare, energy, and food

In the United States, the foundation for similar national ID = Real ID. I'm strongly opposed to Real ID." (September 26, 2025).

Lucero also referenced legal actions regarding election law in Minnesota. He wrote: "In the 2020 lawsuit I was co-plaintiff, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Steve Simon broke election law. Simon continues his standing in the way of election integrity." (September 26, 2025).

Lucero's remarks reference ongoing debates in Minnesota over governance and policy under Governor Tim Walz. The state has experienced partisan disagreements regarding COVID-19 response measures and management of federal relief funds. Additionally, his opposition to Real ID reflects broader national discussions about privacy and federal identification standards.

His comments on election law pertain to longstanding disputes over voting procedures in Minnesota. In recent years, lawsuits have challenged changes to absentee ballot rules and other electoral processes in the state.
