Walter Hudson, a Minnesota state representative, posted a series of tweets on September 12, 2025, expressing concern over the hiring practices in educational institutions and calling for accountability following an incident involving a teacher.

In his first tweet at 00:17 UTC, Hudson commented on the situation by stating, "This is what happens," he says. The man is a teacher. And, again, you don't do this unless you think you're protected. Glad to see consequence. But it's not enough. How the hell does someone like this get hired in the first place? https://t.co/JuIrMe6JiM

Shortly after, at 00:35 UTC, Hudson referenced his previous efforts to encourage civility in political discourse after a violent event known as the Hortman murders. He wrote, "After the Hortman murders, I challenged my own side, pushing back against the likes of Mike Lee, and garnering recognition of my efforts to promote civility from the Star Tribune, MPR, and WCCO among others. I've seen no comparable effort from even one Democrat in 24hrs."

At 00:37 UTC on the same day, Hudson reiterated his stance on accountability with another post: "Glad to see consequence. But how do you not know you've employed a homicidal radical? How many more are there? https://t.co/jR1UJGgwK6"

Hudson's remarks follow an incident that has raised questions about oversight and vetting processes within schools when hiring staff members.
