Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, posted a series of statements on social media between September 9 and 10, 2025, addressing topics ranging from government transparency to national leadership and public figures.

On September 9, Emmer criticized the current Securities and Exchange Commission chair: "Gary Gensler might go down as the worst SEC chair in history. The loss of nearly a year's worth of text messages during his tenure is just another example of the less-than-honest behavior that marked the Biden administration."

The following day, Emmer commented on President Biden's leadership: "Americans voted for @POTUS because he promised to make America great again, and he is doing it." This statement was posted on September 10.

Later that same day, Emmer expressed support for Charlie Kirk: "Jacquie and I are praying for Charlie Kirk."

Emmer has represented Minnesota’s 6th district in Congress since succeeding Michele Bachmann in 2015. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961, Emmer resides in Delano and holds degrees from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (BA) and William Mitchell College of Law (JD).
