Tom Emmer, U.S. Congressman representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, used his social media platform on September 9, 2025, to comment on law enforcement policies, job growth statistics, and Senate confirmations.

In a post from the morning of September 9, Emmer wrote: ".@POTUS has made clear that law-and-order policies work. Now is the time for the shameless so-called “leaders” of blue cities and states to take a page out of his playbook." (posted at 15:05 UTC).

Later that day, Emmer addressed recent economic data and presidential leadership in another tweet: "Once again, President Trump was right about inaccuracy at the BLS. These numbers prove that the job growth under Biden was nothing more than Democrat deception. Biden broke the economy, @POTUS is fixing it." (posted at 16:56 UTC).

By evening, Emmer criticized Senate Democrats over a pending federal appointment: "It hasn't even been two weeks since the Annunciation shooting and Senate Dems are blocking the confirmation of Daniel Rosen, the nominee for U.S. Attorney for Minnesota. Senate Dems must STOP playing political games with these nonpartisan positions! Law and order should never be" (posted at 19:24 UTC).

Emmer has served as Minnesota’s 6th District representative since replacing Michele Bachmann in 2015. He previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently residing in Delano, Emmer holds a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.
