Tom Emmer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, has recently commented on significant legislative developments and national events through a series of social media posts. Emmer, who succeeded Michele Bachmann and previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives, addressed topics including recent legislation, social program reforms, and national milestones involving President Trump.

On July 11, 2025, Emmer reflected on the passage of major legislation by stating: "It’s been one week since the One Big Beautiful Bill was signed into law by @POTUS. One week since we prevented the largest tax increase in U.S. history, paved the way to securing our borders for good, and reduced mandatory spending more than ever before. And we’re just getting".

In a post dated July 12, 2025, Emmer discussed specific provisions within the same legislation related to federal assistance programs: "By restoring integrity to SNAP and rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse in Medicaid, the One Big Beautiful Bill ensures these programs work best for the vulnerable Americans who need them the most."

On July 13, 2025, Emmer marked an anniversary involving former President Trump with a statement that referenced both a past incident and ongoing political achievements: "One year ago today, President Trump’s life was saved from a bullet in Butler, PA. Four months later, he was elected president by the American people. And now, 7 months into his term, he is bringing America into its GOLDEN AGE with countless America First wins DELIVERED."

Tom Emmer was born in South Bend, Indiana in 1961 and currently resides in Delano. He holds a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (1984) and earned his JD from William Mitchell College of Law (1988).
