Tom Emmer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota’s 6th district since 2015, has been vocal on social media regarding various issues. Emmer, who succeeded Michele Bachmann in this role, has previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Born in South Bend, Indiana, in 1961, Emmer holds a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.

On May 14, 2025, Tom Emmer criticized Nike for its stance on women's sports. He stated that "In 2024, Nike earned $8.5 BILLION from women's apparel alone. Yet, @Nike remains SILENT on condemning men invading women’s sports. These young women shouldn’t have beg @Nike to defend the integrity of female athletics!"

Later that day, Emmer commented on political developments involving Governor Tim Walz. He remarked that "The @nytimes is reporting that @GovTimWalz is getting serious about running for President in 2028. Just a reminder, Tampon Tim, you got obliterated in the 2024 election"

On May 15, 2025, Emmer congratulated DJ Daniels on a new position while referencing Senator Marco Rubio's career activities. He tweeted "The only person who has more jobs than Marco Rubio is Agent DJ Daniels. Congrats on the new gig, DJ!"

Emmer resides in Delano and continues to engage with his constituents through various platforms.
