Wright County issued the following announcement.
Wright County Public Health has released its latest COVID-19 dashboard through December 31. Since the pandemic began, Public Health has released an updated county dashboard every Thursday. Because county offices were closed on the afternoon of Dec. 24, the Thursday dashboard this week reflects numbers over the last two weeks.
Since Dec. 17, there have been 706 new confirmed cases – the lowest number of new cases since the numbers started to spike dramatically in October. Wright County currently has 10,835 confirmed cases.
Over the last two weeks, there have been 25 cases that required hospitalizations (bringing the county’s total to 413) and three more cases that required a stay in an Intensive Care Unit (71 total). Unfortunately, there were 19 deaths over the last two weeks (bringing the county total to 88) – tying the two-week high in the number of deaths attributed to COVID.
