City of Buffalo issued the following announcement on Dec. 5.
This year the Holiday Train will not be coming into town, instead, it will be coming directly to your home via a “virtual concert”- on Dec. 12th. Details below.
Even though the train concert is virtual, the need is very much local. Families are in need of nutritious meals and the pandemic has made that need much greater.
This year you don’t have to “brave” the cold, wind, or snow to help. There are a variety of ways you can support our local community and food shelf:
By Mail: Send in your donations to: Buffalo Food Shelf, P.O. Box 222, Buffalo, MN. 55313
By Purchase: Buffalo Cub Grocery Store has prepared bags of food ready for you to purchase-they will deliver to the food shelf.
Drop Off: Drop off your monetary donation at the Buffalo Food Shelf location during their open hours- Tues/Thurs 5pm-8pm, Fri. 10am-12-30pm.
Online (via Paypal or your credit card): Go to buffalofoodshelf.com and click on donate now, or through the PayPal Giving Fund (www.paypal.com/fundraiser/hub) enter Buffalo Food Shelf, click on Human Services and State, make your donation.
The Buffalo Lions and Lioness Club will be MATCHING all MONETARY DONATIONS (up to $1,000) to the Buffalo Food Shelf from December 6-12th.
You can make a difference in our community- stay safe and give what you can to help others in need!
