House Rep. Dean Urdahl (R-Acton Township) updated his constituents on several laws that were set to go into effect on July 1, as well as the possibility of a special session, according to a post on his website.
Urdahl said several laws went into effect on July 1, including the tractor safety law and the Alex Smith Insulin Affordability Act.
Urdahl also said in the post that there still wasn't an official word from the governor regarding the possibility of a special session.
"As of yet, there has been no official word from the governor regarding a potential special session that could take place in the next couple of weeks," Urdahl wrote.
Urdahl noted that it's likely the governor will have a special session so that he can extend his emergency powers again.
If a special session occurs, Urdahl hopes to see a capital investment bill to fund several state projects discussed during that session.
