CITY OF BUFFALO: Compost Site To Open Wednesday, April 1st – No Joke!

Composting

City of Buffalo issued the following announcement on April 2

With many residents spending more time at home due to the Stay at Home order in place, we wanted to make the compost site available to those who have been able to get out in the yard to cleanup. Starting Wednesday, April 1st there will be limited hours available for City residents with the temporary schedule as noted below:

- Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 10am-6pm

- Saturday – 8am-Noon

- Closed Tuesday and Thursday

A City staff person will be working the entry gate to help point to locations to dump permitted yard waste items, but please stay 10 feet away from staff and other users for everyone’s safety at this time. Staff will not be processing new permits at the gate for the time being, so new users who live within City limits should submit their application - https://www.ci.buffalo.mn.us/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/compost-facility-application-.pdf by email to https://www.ci.buffalo.mn.us/contact-us/ . Your application will then be reviewed by City staff and an email returned that you can use for access while you wait for your sticker to be issued.

Thank you for understanding some new measures in place and enjoy all your yardwork in the fresh air! If you have any questions, please email - https://www.ci.buffalo.mn.us/contact-us/ or call 763-682-1181.
