City of Delano issued the following announcement on Dec. 2.
Had anyone been trapped in the basement by a fire, they likely would not have been able to escape.
Egress windows are often forgotten until there is an emergency — and when that happens it might be too late. Following the recent snowfall that blanketed much of the state over the weekend, an important reminder to clear your egress windows of snow and ice.
It could save a life.
