Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools issued the following announcement on Oct. 22.
Two weeks from today is election day for BHM Schools. If you haven't already heard about the election you can find more information on our website: https://www.bhmschools.org/bhm-operating-levy-election-tues…
BHM Schools has over 700 employees making us one of the largest employers in Buffalo and Wright County. The majority of the district's budget is people (75-80%)--teachers, secretaries, custodians and support staff. This operating levy referendum will help keep our staff in place to support our students. It will help pay for supplies for our schools. It will help pay for the utilities that run our schools. It will help pay for the high quality programs and services that makes BHM Schools, BHM Schools. If the levy does not pass, many of those things will be cut. See the list of reductions here: https://www.bhmschools.org/…/downloads/2020-21_bud-red_0.pdf
Be sure to educate yourself on the topic and get out and vote. EARLY VOTING is open in the BHM District Office located in Discovery Center from 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday through Monday, November 4. Want to VOTE on Election Day?
