City of Delano issued the following announcement on Oct.2.
SITE DETAILS
• Site Zoned B-2 General Business – most retail, service, and office use allowed
• Approximately 1.7 acre parcel
• Boundary adjustments and access points to be adjusted, negotiable
• Gas pumps, underground storage tanks, canopy, car wash, and exterior equipment to be removed prior to sale
• Located on the West side of Delano, on the Southside of Highway 12/Babcock Boulevard
• Redevelopment options include either of the following: Develop a cleared, vacant site, or Develop including the rehabilitation of existing blighted 3,700 square foot building

A preliminary meeting is encouraged to talk about proposal options and site conditions before submitting a final proposal. Completed proposals should be submit¬ted to the Delano Economic Development Authority, in the care of Phil Kern. Proposals may be delivered or mailed to Delano City Hall or delivered electronically in a PDF format to pkern@delano.mn.us.
REQUIRED INFORMATION
The proposal should include the following:
• A detailed description of the potential uses of the property
• An outline of the proposed improvements, including both new improvements and any potential building rehabilitation, including a timeline
• Proposed terms for the acquisition
• Business operation/ownership history, including locations and references
REVIEW PROCESS
The EDA will review all proposals submitted by October 25, 2019, and will continue to accept propos¬als at any time after that date so long final proposal has not been accepted and approved by the EDA. When the EDA accepts and approves a final proposal, it will enter into a development contract with the person or entity proposing the redevelopment. This contract may include additional terms and require¬ments not established within this RFP that will result from the specific use or uses proposed.
