Washington, D.C. – On May 12, Congressman Emmer issued the following statement:  “Eight fentanyl overdoses in just twenty-four hours. A two-year-old dead of accidental exposure. These are the consequences of the border crisis in Minnesota in the last year alone. President Biden’s open-border policies have aided and abetted tragedy after tragedy.”

“Today is the first day since President Biden let Title 42 expire without a strategy to deal with the border. He has opened the floodgates to allow even more international criminals and illicit drugs into our country. We will not forget President Biden’s choice to turn his back on Minnesotans and to embolden cartels.”
