Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools issued the following announcement on Mar. 17.
When the dust settled after the second Battle of the Books round at Northwinds Elementary School this afternoon, Asher and Bryley claimed first place out of numerous teams in third and fourth grade.
Students had to read 10 books, then answer a series of questions correctly in order to advance through the various rounds of competition.

Schools within Meeker County registered a passing rate of 42.1% in the science portion of the MCA in the 2023-24 school year.
Schools within Meeker County registered a passing rate of 50.9% in the mathematics portion of the MCA in the 2023-24 school year.
