Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools issued the following announcement on Mar. 17. 

When the dust settled after the second Battle of the Books round at Northwinds Elementary School this afternoon, Asher and Bryley claimed first place out of numerous teams in third and fourth grade.

Students had to read 10 books, then answer a series of questions correctly in order to advance through the various rounds of competition.
